Ladies and Gentleman,

Greetings from the mountains of Tennessee. I have for you today a beautiful -serviced- piece which is rarely seen with a black dial!

The Gruen Precision is a lesser known model of the acclaimed "James Bond 007" worn watches. A Gruen Caliber 510 dress timepiece has been identified as being worn by James Bond as played by Sean Connery in the very first Bond film "Doctor No." It can be seen several times under his tuxedo cuff in the casino scene. The Gruen 510 dress watch probably also appeared in two or more other early Bond films (You Only Live Twice and Diamonds Are Forever). Sean Connery owned the Gruen Precision personally (as apposed to merely being a prop watch).

This watch is similar to that exact Gruen model—with an arabic numeral 12 marker, the radial sunburst dial finish, and cross hair sub seconds dial—Only this beauty has the super rare black dial.

Asking Price: $299

Good used condition for a vintage watch ~65 years old. The watch has just been restored with a full movement strip down, clean and oiling, and crystal polish (~$150 value). It is keeping excellent time gaining approximately 10 secs/day, on my wrist (YMMV). Power reserve is almost 46 hours on a full wind. The original dial is in excellent condition. The case has scratches/dings etc and has some wear to the gold plating, particularly on the lugs. There is a crack on the edge of the crystal around the top from ~11:30-1 (see pic), but it is hardly noticeable and cannot really be seen while wearing the watch.

The 33mm diameter case has good wrist presence with a lug to lug "wingspan" of almost 42mm.

Pictured on a vintage cloth strap, but I have other straps available (ask if interested).

All pictures are of the actual watch you will receive. Please study them carefully. Pictures reveal more imperfections than the naked eye.

Watch you see is what you get!
