Here's something you don't see every day, a 1940s Telda chronograph with a Valjoux 22 column wheel movement. The Telda name was associated with the Armand Nicolet company of Tramelan Switzerland, which dates back to 1875.

This particular chronograph has a number of desirable features, starting with the amazing gilt sector dial with spiral "snail" chronograph track and Breguet numeral hour markers. The colors of the various sectors change with the direction of the light, as shown in the various photos. The blued hands are showing a bit of oxidation, but complement the dial perfectly. The 37.5mm stainless steel case was large for the time and perfect on the wrist. The case has a "Spillman style" bent lug design and maintains its original lines with signs of modest polishing. The lug spacing is 19mm and the lug bars are fixed. A lightly worn Hirsch strap is current fitted to the watch. The pushers appear to be replacements.

The Valjoux 22 movement has some decorative stripes. It is running, and the chronograph functions are operating properly. The watch has not been serviced in my possession, and no specific guarantee or long-term warranty is offered on performance. A professional service is obviously recommended if you plan to use the watch regularly.

My asking price is $1,575 USD by PP F&F, bank wire, or other fee-free electronic payment. Shipping included within the US. Other payment methods are fine for established members with fees covered. I'm also happy to hear your vintage trade ideas.
